Erfurt's main station is integrated into the ICE network of Deutsche Bahn AG. The ICE route Munich-Berlin enables a fast and comfortable journey with ICE trains. Long distance connections to Frankfurt a.M., Leipzig, Dresden, Halle, Berlin, Kassel, Fulda and Saarbrücken run every 1 hour.
By tram, take lines 3, 5 or 6 from Erfurt main station to the Anger and change there to line 2 in the direction of P+R Messe.
Messe Erfurt has its own tram stop which offers you a fast and direct connection to the city centre.
Tram line 2 runs every 10 minutes from Anger (city centre) to the Exhibition Centre. A P+R car park next to the Exhibition Centre makes it easier to park and then continue your journey by tram line 2.
International arrival: The direct connection to Erfurt/Weimar airport - a single change from tram line 4 to line 2 at the Gothaer Platz stop is all that is needed - simplifies the journey for international visitors.
In addition, Leipzig/Halle Airport can be reached by ICE train in about 30 minutes and Frankfurt Airport in about 130 minutes.
